THE FUNNY THING

11:30 pagi. Terjaga dari tidur. Dail handphone.

Toot-toot. Toot-toot.

Siapa entah: Fakulti Un****-Un**** Ui**. Selamat pagi.

Mat Jan: Pagi. Boleh cakap dengan Puan F?

Siapa entah: Sekejap ye. (muzik: ting-ting-ting-tong ting-ting-ting-tong)

Puan F: Hullo, F bercakap.

Mat Jan: Puan F, I'm Syafizan, LLB stu--

Puan F: Ya Syafizan... I know you. What's the matter?

Mat Jan: I just want to confirm, Puan. I thought my name is already in the graduation's list. You have issued me a surat pengesahan tamat right? But how come I received a letter from KRP asking me to register on 17th?

Puan F: Oh, there were three of you actually who didn't get the tamat status because of the BEL411 problem. You, Adli and Ayu. We have sent the THREE names to Pusat Bahasa. But the FUNNY thing is, only Adli's name was dropped from the list, yours and Ayu's were not. I don't know why.

Mat Jan: (Dalam hati: FUNNY? This is not funny. I might not graduate if this thing is not settled!). So Puan, are you saying that I have to register on the 17th? The KRP's letter said things like "ini peluang terakhir anda...", like I sengaja didn't take the paper, padahal I was exempted.

Puan F: Just ignore the letter. Tomorrow Mesyuarat Senat, to sahkan the graduation's list. List tu BELUM disahkan, and akan disahkan tomorrow. During the mesyuarat, Puan M (acting Dekan) will put the two names, yours and Ayu's, in the list. Then the list akan disahkan.

Mat Jan: Oh? Okay. So... I... can-just-ignore-the-letter?

Puan F: Yup.

Mat Jan: And... I... don't-have-to-register-on-the-17th?

Puan F: Nope.

Mat Jan: Lega. Thanks Puan. Assalamualaikum.

Puan F: Waalaikumussalam.
